Your Vitamin Drips journey

Vitamin Drips Consultation
Step 1
Consultation

Your appointment starts with a suitability review. We discuss your goals (hydration support, wellbeing, travel recovery or general support), medical history, medications and allergies. We explain what IV vitamin therapy can realistically do, where evidence is limited, and the potential risks, so you can make an informed choice in line with UK consent expectations.

Vitamin Drips Preparation
Step 2
Preparation

We confirm the most appropriate formulation and infusion plan, then prepare the IV in a clean clinical environment. Where appropriate, we may record basic observations. We select an infusion rate tailored to you, and we can start slowly if you are sensitive or anxious.

Vitamin Drips Infusion
Step 3
Infusion

The drip is administered via a cannula into a vein and you are monitored during the infusion. Most people feel comfortable, though some may experience transient sensations such as coolness in the arm, mild flushing, or light-headedness. We adjust the rate as needed to maintain comfort and safety.

Vitamin Drips Aftercare
Step 4
Aftercare

After your drip, we provide advice on hydration, activity and what to expect over the next 24 hours. We explain when to seek medical advice (for example, if you develop increasing redness, swelling, pain at the cannula site, fever, or feel unwell). Where relevant, we discuss whether a course of treatments is appropriate or whether alternatives should be considered.

What's the cost?

Vitamin drips start from £200. Your exact fee depends on the formulation used and the plan agreed following suitability screening.

IV therapies are not appropriate for everyone, and they should not replace medical assessment for persistent or unexplained symptoms. We review your medical history and medications, discuss realistic expectations, and advise whether a vitamin drip is suitable, or whether medical investigation would be more appropriate.

If you have ongoing fatigue, chest pain, breathlessness, fainting, unexplained weight loss, or other concerning symptoms, please seek medical assessment before considering wellness drips.

How do vitamin drips work?
How do vitamin drips work?
IV nutrient delivery

Vitamin drips are a form of intravenous (IV) therapy where fluids, vitamins and minerals are delivered through a cannula into a vein over a controlled period. IV delivery bypasses the digestive system, meaning the nutrients enter the bloodstream directly.

People choose IV drips for hydration support and general wellbeing goals. Individual responses vary and evidence for specific benefits can be limited depending on the formulation and the indication. For this reason, we focus on medical screening, informed consent and realistic counselling on what a drip can and cannot achieve.

During the infusion, some people notice a cool sensation in the arm or mild, short-lived symptoms such as light-headedness or flushing. Most settle quickly and can be managed by adjusting the infusion rate. As with any IV procedure, risks can include bruising, discomfort at the cannula site, inflammation of the vein, infection, and (rarely) allergic reactions. We explain when to seek medical advice as part of aftercare.

Vitamin Drips FAQs
How long does a vitamin drip take?

Most appointments take around 30–60 minutes, depending on the formulation and the infusion rate agreed for comfort and safety.

Is there downtime?

Most people return to normal activities the same day. If you feel light-headed or unwell, we advise rest, hydration, and avoiding strenuous exercise until you feel fully recovered.

Who is not suitable for IV drips?

Suitability depends on your medical history, medications and current symptoms. We screen for contraindications and will advise you if an IV drip is not appropriate or if you should seek medical assessment first.

What are the risks?

Risks can include bruising, pain at the cannula site, inflammation of the vein, infection, and (rarely) allergic reactions. We provide clear advice on what to watch for and when to seek review.

How long do the benefits last?

This varies widely between individuals and depends on the formulation used, your baseline health status, hydration, sleep and lifestyle factors.

Can vitamin drips replace a healthy diet or medical care?

No. IV drips are not a substitute for a balanced diet or for medical assessment of persistent symptoms. If you have ongoing fatigue or other concerning symptoms, we recommend medical evaluation.
